Sometimes I wonder

Sometimes I ponder

How diverse , how great ,how colourful you are my great nation my beloved nation . 

You are the queen of all seasons

You are the possessor of all landforms.

Every second, every minute, every day, week, month of each year is a blessing in your lap . 

Since we have numerous fairs and festivals to celebrate after regular gaps .

To count a few,

January becomes special as year long festive season begins

Makkar sakranti , Pongal , Basant Panchami and Repulic Day make the atmosphere around yummy .  

In February Maha Shivaratri,

In March the festival of vibrant colours Holi,

 

April has its own share as we have in this month festival of Baisakhi and Bihu,

Budh purnima and Id UL Fitr in May transform the earthly environment into being chaste and holy .

In June in Jagnath puri there is the famous rath yatra. 

In July everything turns green with celebration of Haryali Teej .

followed by August which has not one but many festivals on its list. First and foremost our national festival - The Independence Day . 

then we celebrate Raksha Bandhan the bond of love along with Ganesh chaturthi and Onam . 

Then we have Krishna Janmashtami which gives us the feel of the birth of The Mighty and Mischievous . 

 

Last trimester of the year has so much to cheer .

We have Durga puja and Dusshera which mark the victory of good over evil.

Then there are two great festivals of light- Diwali and Gurpurab to make our nation bright .

Before brightness gets dim 

We can be ears to jingle bells that ring as Christmas is around and children dream of Santa who could with devotion may be found . 

I bow before you my sweet nation In a string which has different festivals as beautiful beads to give testimony of our unity in diversity.
